How do I register for classes?

Are classes offered in the summer?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Both 3 and 9-week sessions are offered June–August along with fun camps and workshops. Summer dance is a great way to stay in shape, try a new discipline, or improve your skills. Registration for summer dance opens in March.

Question 6

Can I change to a different class?

You may change to a different class as long as there are openings. Note that spring recital costumes are ordered in November — if you switch after costumes are ordered, a new costume will need to be ordered and rush shipping charges may apply. Email ali@danceendeavors.com to switch classes.

Question 7

Can I make up a missed class?

Make-up lessons are allowed in the same age group or younger only. Make-ups must be taken within 2 weeks of the missed class. Email Sophia@danceendeavors.com to schedule a make-up lesson.

How do I pay for dance classes?

Tuition charges and payment schedules vary by dance session. Please refer to the current class sessions for payment information. All payments are processed through the Parent Portal.

Question 9

How do I withdraw from a class?

Accepted Answer

There is a one-month minimum for all lessons. A one-month notice from the first of the month is required to discontinue payments for the following month. To withdraw, complete and sign a withdrawal form or email us. Automatic charges will stop after the one-month notice period. We require a minimum of FIVE DAYS to process class drops before the 1st of the month to avoid AutoPay. Contact ali@danceendeavors.com for a drop form.

Question 10

What is The Nutcracker Ballet?

The Nutcracker Ballet is a large performance inclusive of all ballet students from age 3 through 18. Cast auditions are held for dancers age 8+ who want more involvement. All ballet classes learn a dance to perform in the Nutcracker. It is performed in November.

What are the Winter Shows?

The winter shows are held in late January and feature a story dance to winter/Christmas music incorporating all styles of dance so all students may participate. Most costumes are provided by the studio. Dancers in grades 6–12 are chosen for roles through an audition process.

What are the Spring Recitals?

Spring recitals are large performances showcasing what dancers have learned throughout the year. All dancers participate. Because costumes need to be ordered in early November, we need to know by November 30th if your student will NOT be participating.

Are there additional fees for performances?

Accepted Answer

Yes, there is a $75 performance fee for each of the three performances throughout the year. Each fee is divided into 3 payments and added to tuition ($25/month for 9 months). Nutcracker fees apply only to ballet students.

When are spring recital pictures taken?

Spring recital pictures are taken in March/April after all costumes have arrived. Specific information will be posted at the studio and communicated via email. We do not hold classes on picture nights.

Question 15

What should dancers wear for class?

Accepted Answer

Proper dancewear and shoes are required for class. The closest dance store is Step N Stretch in Burnsville. Make sure dance shoes are worn indoors ONLY to ensure proper care of our dance floors. See the complete list of footwear and dancewear requirements on our What to Wear page.

Can I watch classes? Do I have to stay at the studio during class?

We have viewing windows for your convenience, but parents are not allowed in the studios during class. You are not required to stay, but if you leave please pick up your child ON TIME. Students are not supervised outside of the 4 dance studios. Please do not drop off younger dancers (grade 5 and younger) more than 10 minutes before class.

How do I know if classes are canceled due to bad weather?

If classes are canceled, an email will be sent and notice will be posted on our social media pages. The decision to cancel will be made no later than two hours before classes begin. NO CALLS WILL BE MADE — please check email and social media for information.

How do I know what is going on at the studio?

ALL communication is by email. It is your responsibility to let us know if your email address changes. An email newsletter is sent approximately once per month, with more frequent emails around performance times.

Question 19

Does Dance Endeavors have a competition team?

Accepted Answer

Yes! We have an audition progression in July and a Dance Intensive in August. Students attend competition classes during the school year in addition to their dance disciplines. All dancers ages 5–18 are encouraged to audition. Competitions are usually held February–April. Additional fees apply.

Are private lessons available?

Private Lessons are open to all students grades 4 and up to enhance their dance skills and receive individual attention.

Can we have a birthday party at Dance Endeavors?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Enjoy 1.5 hours of fun with a themed party. We provide the studio and an instructor. Visit our Birthday Parties page for more information.
